The proprietors of 'TRIBES to world' Madalitso Tommy Chikonde and Abhilasha Ekka along with promoter of Restaurant, Prime Abhilas discussed with Deputy C.M. K.V. Singh Deo as to how this restaurant shall introduce the rich flavours and traditions of African cuisines to people of Odisha and simultaneously promote Odia tribal cuisines, thus opening opportunities for cross cultural tourism.
Prime Abhilas, the Managing Partner of Universal Allied Advocates said, "Despite being Africans, the proprietors have a massive amount of respect towards Sanatani culture. Hence they will never serve any Beef dishes at this restaurant".
Madalitso Tommy Chikonde who is involved in different business ventures such as Mapeto Landmark, Mapeto Fisheries, Chai Pe Charcha and Skytech Solutions believes that as a first-of-its-kind venture, 'TRIBES to world', shall showcase the rich culinary heritage of Africa besides contributing to the local economy by creating employment opportunities and exhibiting unique platform for local people to experience the diversity of global cuisines.
K.V. Singhdeo, who happens to be the grandson of former Chief Minister of Odisha, Rajendra Narayan Singh Deo, extended his blessings and good wishes to the Chikonde couple and Prime Abhilas for this endeavour.
